Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS is a concert hall specifically designed for symphonic performances of the highest quality. Famed architectural firm Cesar Pelli & Associates and acoustics expert Kirkegaard & Associates collaborated to create this world-class venue.

THE BACK OF HOUSE

No effort was spared in providing back-of-house facilities for the comfort of artists and performers, especially to host an internationally assembled line-up of famous stars and orchestra members.

SOUND & RECORDING SYSTEMS

Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS is often cited as the pinnacle of acoustic mastery because of its ingeniously engineered Concert Hall. But, DFP is also established for its audio support facilities.

LIGHT AND PROJECTION SYSTEMS

Often the orchestra performances at DFP are more than just music but an immersive multi-sensory experience. Whether it’s a symphony inspired by a movie or video game, or as part of a stage play, the hall's visual systems play an equally important role in bringing the music to life in spectacular fashion.

KLAIS PIPE ORGAN

From a whisper to a thunder, DFP Klais Pipe Organ produces a multitude of musical sounds with its 2977 pipes that range in height from just over an inch to a towering 32 ft. Designed and built by eminent organ builders Johannes Klais of Bonn, Germany, the Pipe Organ was inaugurated on 17th August 1998 with a breathtaking performance by Simon Preston.
