The MPO Education Outreach activities are designed to make learning about classical music easier and to share the joy of music with teachers, students and the broader community.
Educational Institutions
MPO Education Outreach activities include reaching out to:

MPO Education Outreach's short performances, interactive and interesting talks are provided by our musicians when the MPO visits your school. The MPO musicians plan visits to school groups to achieve the following:

Special concerts designed for students and their teachers to get to know more about classical music are also held regularly at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS. Everyone will have fun while improving their understanding and enjoyment of music in these interactive concerts.
Encourage your students to become aware of classical music and help inspire new creative interests and career opportunities.
We also arrange for workshops, masterclasses and lectures to be conducted at your university or college by professional musicians from the MPO. All levels of music development will be considered and activities can be tailored to meet specific requests.
Music Organisations
Selected musicians from the MPO Education Outreach to will work with music organisations (such as existing bands and orchestral ensembles) to promote group performance and to provide sound music foundational instruction to assist the development of bands and orchestras.
Bookings
All applications for MPO Education Outreach activities should be forwarded to Encounter no later than two months prior to the visit.
